In this trying time, we all know that the majority of earth's population are affected by the pandemic. Hands down to the companies that are determined to support their people, even if they're struggling too. Every industry is having a hard time to recover and leaving them an option to lay off almost half or their employees.

Because of this pandemic, the economy is also suffering.

In the midst of chaos, would you consider a career change?


Dealing with the Pandemic

The government should set aside first their political tension and focus on the crucial problem, which is the pandemic. We need a successful contingency planning and response, especially in countries with a weak healthcare system. We are grateful for those people who are exerting too much effort in extending their help for the needy.

The pandemic is causing a tremendous impact in every humankind, it may be with their financial stability, mental health or career path. If you are still employed, you should consider yourself lucky because some are being laid off and having a thought of sticking with their field or a career change? And now, everybody's asking, "How long will the pandemic last?".

During the lockdown and closures, millions of lives have been put on hold and millions of jobs have been lost. Are you thinking about a career change because of our global situation?

Then I would suggest that you must go ahead, reexamine your strengths, preferences and take the risk.


In my case, I've been in the BPO Industry and Finance Industry for 3 years and we all know many industry is affected due to pandemic. Our company strive harder to stay afloat but after 3 months of lockdown, the management decided that they really need to lay off 1,500 employees. This difficult time has taught me to focus more on developing my skills and do more of what I love. I've decided to push my luck in freelance world and started my online job hunting. The competition is tough, and I felt that I really have to invest first with myself in order to attract high paying clients.
